Trump is already trying to throw him under the bus. He will do anything to survive, including burning anyone around him.
He said “I think you should ask for Vice President Pence’s conversation, because he had a couple of conversations also ” .
Pence hasn’t been brought up in the complaint or transcript so far, so its unclear what he’s talking about.

I think it’s unlikely. I don’t think the House will have voted for impeachment by then, and I don’t think the Senate will vote for it (turtle man won’t even bring it to a vote if he can avoid it).
If Trump were the average man, he’d have about a 3% chance of dying per year. Which, would give him around a 1% chance of dying before the State of the Union. Now Trump is probably in below average health, but he also has excellent care, s o it’s probably a wash.
I do think there are a lot of Republican senators who’d much rather have a President Pence, but I don’t think there are many who’d risk angering their base to make it happen.

The bottom line is that the President-elect of the Ukraine now has signi ficant bargaining power , and likely influence on the next US election.
Regardless of the contents of the actual recording of the phone call (and regardless if the US has a copy, because you can shit-sure guarantee Zelensky has one) they can reach out to both parties for ‘favors’.
First call: “Donald...what is this big deal about phone call? It was all on the up and up. I can do you a solid and have presser on ze FOX television to assure America it was very friendly call and you are a good man. Mr Carlson already knows you are a good man, but I will sit with Tucker and make sure your country knows that Donald is good, but Biden and that Pelosi lady, she really crazy. But, I need to know that you will return many favors for Ukraine..... ”
Second call: “Nancy....hello, this is Velodymyr...can I call you Nancy? Donald says he calls you Nancy, I would like to call you Nancy? Ok, so Ms. Pelotzi, we have original tape and your President tried to extract favors from us, we did not know what to do, but I would like to send you the tapes. Lordy, would we like to send you the tapes. But, I need to know that you will return many favors for Ukraine.....”

Democrats are doing this to make Trump look bad for 2020. It’s working. Even if he isn’t impeached, it’ll damage him for the vote. If he is impeached and this continues to look bad, the Senate still won’t remove him. That’ll h urt t hem in 2020 in addition to the president. This isn’t a jizz stain on a dress type of thing.

My theory is that this is a bid to get rid of Pelosi by embarrassing her with a failed impeachment bid. Here’s my issue with this. Say there’s enough to impeach him, and this moves on to the Senate. Wouldn’t this still fit the narrative that Trump’s base believes? He will just tell them it’s a witch hunt, and I expect them to all blindly believe him and follow him. It’s come to the point now where I don’t think it matters what Trump does, his supporters will just double down and complain that the evil Dems are trying to keep him down.
I honestly don’t have much faith that he won’t win re-election either. This might just galvanize the vote more in his favor and get EVERYONE who supports him to come out and vote.

That’s possible, but I think the complacency of the left in 2016 and the result will bring a different result. Yeah, his base will see the can do no wrong. Hell, the closet Trump supporters still believe he can do no wrong. They all voted for someone else, don’t like him, but hate the left and will piece by piece attack them in small incremental amounts leaving equally or more egregious malfeasances by another political party untouched. That’s entirely possible. I guess it depends on whether you think the Ukraine stuff will help Biden in the primaries or not. From my perspective it appears to be hurting, and if it’s coming from a D then it is more likely to be Warren as she has the most to gain by making both Trump and Biden look bad . I think Pelosi would pull the plug on it if she thought it would fail. It’s t he chapter titled “Negotiating with a foreign power to find dirt on your political rival by withholding security funds and intermingling your private attorney with the department of Justice to sort it out and if it becomes public have the attorney general protect himself by dismissing the complaint that he was complicit in rather than recusing himself”.

The complaint itself however is all based on secondhand info, which nobody is arguing that aspect beyond how much it hurts credibility and accuracy . “nor do I think any parts of it are unprecedented.”
“The DNI is referring to the whistleblower complaint as unprecedented based on multiple facets, which is very much accurate.”
“
The complaint itself however is all based on secondhand info, which nobody is arguing that aspect beyond how much it hurts credibility and accuracy. I still think that they are trying to help the Warren campaign in some manner, based on no concrete evidence.... yet....”
“It’s honestly good that elected officials aren’t held to the same standards that I hold myself to.”
Hahahahahaha

I don’t think anybody could have predicted that the country would be in the current political position when they cast ballots in the previous election. That’s not really unique though, just the nature of how things work.
You’re referring to implicit / explicit bias, where people are looking for things to support their predetermined opinions . I agree completely, both on this as well as most other Trump-related items.

Confirmation bias is the term you’re looking for.

What part are you not following from my viewpoints / opinions ?
- I don’t think the call transcript is a big deal or should really be all that shocking as I suspect that type of thing happens all the time - Nothing concrete behind that as to my knowledge this is the first time a transcript of this nature has been released to the public .
- There hasn’t been a whistleblower complaint of this nature previously, based on the content, sources, allegations, implications, etc, which is very much true. I suspect there are partisan intentions behind it.
- Major whoooooooosh on the reality check / self deprecating humor.

Firstly, you present your viewpoints as less of an opinion and more of a fact. Unsubstantiated facts that you would and do quickly fault when from a differing view. Then you’re incapable of holding yourself to a similar standard. When ultimately confronted on this, you play it off as a joke, but only after being confronted. Repeatedly. I can see why you like Trump in this regard.
Secondly , you try to dismiss the transcript as something that you suppose happens all the time and ultimately admit you have no idea if it does or doesn’t. You then fail to acknowledge that other authorities in that field have stated it is unprecedented and isn’t the norm. You do this either through willful ignorance or naivete. Or perhaps pride that Trump may be in the wrong.
Thirdly, rather than looking at the immediate, apparent and yet to be refuted evidence (second hand or not), you choose to go after a leftist conspiracy theory with zero support.
You have so much wrong with your argument, it’s juvenile.

I have a wait and see attitude about this. Now that the administration has released the complaint, maybe the impeachment process won't go all the way. I just hate where we are now. We have a POTUS who is hell bent on being a troll and a media who eat it up. It's a perfect storm of madness.

And people don’t want to do any thinking nor ask any good questions because all they’ll get back is dismissive -- or outright hostile -- repeats of slogans they’ve picked up on cable TV or talk radio.

This is true. But a crucial aspect of that game is don’t be a fucking moron and get caught.
Also, only assholes actually say shit like that.

I think seeing more data, the original transcripts and interviewing everybody on the call is warranted. Should he be impeached? I don't know yet. I think other people are jumping the gun. This absolutely for the modus operandi for the president based on Cohen's testimony. So by many accounts, people are right in saying it's nothing new, it's how the president has always operated.

One thing about either Biden or Warren. Look at the dirt on them. Very little. Biden has his gaffes, but they’re not nefarious. Warren is very very sharp.

Withholding $400 million dollars of Congressionally approved a id money in order to have a foreign government investigate a former US Vice President and current presidential candidate is “small stuff?” What would you think if Trump shot someone on 5th Avenue in Times Square? No big deal?

The reason you haven't seen transcripts of phone calls such as this from previous administrations is that this type of call was "unprecedented" before this.
